A new client‑side update for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone, version 1.078, has been released on August 8 and targets a persistent bug affecting custom loadouts. This patch follows a major Season 5 content drop and does not introduce new gameplay elements, instead focusing on critical fixes that improve stability and usability.
The central highlight of update 1.078 is the resolution of the custom loadout issue that hindered players from interacting with loadout menus both in‑game and in the main menu. Prior to this update, numerous players reported that custom loadouts failed to work correctly. These ranged from loadouts disappearing upon selection, to the inability to access or configure custom loadouts. With the application of patch 1.078, Treyarch confirms that these menu issues have been resolved.
However, there are still unresolved issues affecting both Black Ops 6 and Warzone. In Black Ops 6, two prominent problems remain under investigation. First, the Ranked Play flow, leaderboards, and player ranks are currently displaying inaccurate information. Players may find discrepancies in their ranks as the game attempts to track performance and season progress. Second, an issue involving the Dreadnought vehicle has been reported, where a player may become stuck and lose the ability to crouch, slide, or change stance after calling in this vehicle.
Warzone also faces a set of known, unresolved bugs. These include several user interface-related and gameplay-related glitches. Cash extraction icons in the Plunder mode may fail to appear correctly, which can disrupt the objective tracking. The loadout icon above the squad widget may display even when the squad lacks sufficient funds, causing confusion. Some players experience being stuck in the plating animation loop, impairing gameplay flow. Furthermore, there are cases where the killcam fails to display, breaking player feedback after death. Finally, certain thermal scopes from Modern Warfare II are malfunctioning.
These issues are being tracked on public Trello boards, and while no immediate patch date has been announced, they are expected to be bundled into forthcoming larger updates. For now, update 1.078 offers relief for the custom loadout bug but does not yet solve all of the lingering problems affecting both core titles. Players should stay alert for future announcements from Treyarch.
