Always wanted a place like you see in films, proper house with a lawn out back where you can mess about with the dog, throw some meat on the grill, get the family over and actually enjoy those rare sunny days we manage to scrape together here in the UK. Finally got the keys to our own place and now the back garden needs sorting. Lawn's already down, space is decent enough, just feels bare. Missing furniture to make it usable really. Where's best to look for garden stuff and what type actually lasts?

Finally got a house with a garden, need furniture for it

Congrats on the house, mate. Having your own outdoor space is brilliant, proper game changer. For barbecues and family gatherings you'll want a solid dining table with chairs, not those tiny bistro sets that wobble when someone leans on them. Skip anything with fabric cushions, they just soak up rain and turn mouldy. If you're watching the budget, Dunelm usually has reasonable options that won't fall apart immediately. For something more durable, have a look at John Lewis, their outdoor range tends to hold up better over time.

Getting your first place with a proper garden is class, suddenly you've got this whole space that's actually yours to do what you want with. Problem is half the outdoor furniture you see is absolute garbage that looks decent for about five minutes then goes to pieces. You can check out stylish garden furniture here https://rengard.co.uk . They've got dining sets, loungers, benches that'll handle sitting outside without falling apart. Everything matches as well so you're not mixing random bits that look daft together.
