Turkey has some incredible spots once you get away from the tourist traps and the coastal roads are actually a joy to drive. It’s a bit of a shame to miss out on the local trip, but at least the weather in the Mediterranean will be miles better than a rainy weekend in Wales. You could look into some of the massive international brands like Enterprise or Hertz if you want to stick with names you know. They usually have plenty of variety in their fleets and you can find their offices in most of the major holiday towns along the coast.
Always wanted a place like you see in films, proper house with a lawn out back where you can mess about with the dog, throw some meat on the grill, get the family over and actually enjoy those rare sunny days we manage to scrape together here in the UK. Finally got the keys to our own place and now the back garden needs sorting. Lawn's already down, space is decent enough, just feels bare. Missing furniture to make it usable really. Where's best to look for garden stuff and what type actually lasts?
Almada sits right across the water but gets ignored by most people flying into Portugal. Everyone bolts straight for Lisbon and misses everything on the south bank. The beaches down at Caparica run empty most days, you can actually park without circling for an hour. There's an old fortress at Cacilhas that gives you a completely different view of the river compared to what you see from the Lisbon side. You can rent a car in Almada from private owners here https://getrentacar.com/en-US/portugal/almada . Local guys are usually flexible about where you pick up and drop off. You're not locked into some corporate office hours or dealing with staff who barely speak English.
Mate, having a separate amount set aside purely for gambling is the smartest move before anything else, keeps it from bleeding into money you actually need. Stick to one platform rather than hopping around, you get a better feel for how it works and the welcome bonuses usually only hit once anyway. Have a proper read through the terms before you deposit, some sites make withdrawals a proper headache if you haven't met certain conditions first.
Has anyone rented a motorcycle before? Been wanting a bike since I was a kid but never pulled the trigger on buying one. Money was always tight back then. Now I can actually afford it but wondering if the thrill is the same when you're older or if I'll buy something that just sits there. Thinking about renting one for a week or two to see if I'm actually into it. Where do you even rent bikes?
