I wonder if the admin could pause all of the clocks on these games when turn submissions aren't go through until they fix the problem.
A wee bit of advertising would do wonders.
I wonder why the creators aren't more involved. This game was once quite popular, and I think there is a good chance that it could be popular again, but it would require effort, especially in advertising. I am happy to pay for an extreme membership, not because I play so many games, but because I enjoy Battleforces and want it to thrive.
The second problem happens sometimes, more so since they switched to this Beta version (understandable). I remember encountering some glitches earlier this week, as have other players (see Bug Reports). I usually just wait it out; is it still happening?
Yeah, I think we should be able to see out-of-game chat messages in the arena, not only the forum, since not everybody checks the forum.
My guess is that it's on the list, in addition to undoing transport offloads, installing a private message system, etc.
"So would it just be a sum of the percentages?"
That's what I was thinking. Might get weird with SAMs (only 20%) or just having just one infantry defending a land zone - it might force a player to either have more than just one of those units, or some other compromise, like if the total percentage is less than 100 then it reverts to the regular system.
"I wouldn't want to make this required - just an option."
Agreed.
I'm guessing this would have to be a long-term upgrade, but:
A game setting where units destroyed are exactly what one would have predicted if using only the % chance of hitting (rounded up or down, or some other solution). Might make the game harder (especially when dealing with infantry or SAMs or something), but I think it would force us to think differently about the game (in a good way).
Can't undo transport transfers by right clicking on transports or on units transferred; need to either keep on clicking on the "undo" button or just start the turn all over again.
