It is a 10 year old computer, so I suspect the video chip is just too old to support it. It is running the most recent versions of Firefox & Chrome, so that isn't the issue. The odd thing is that other sites which use WebGL appear to work just fine.
When trying to play games on an older computer, I am just getting a blue screen and the map never loads. I noticed this started about the time you posted the latest game update. The error I see in the Firefox console is "Failed to create WebGL . . . Driver is not hardware-accelerated." Could this be related to the upgraded rendering engine you installed? I've tried using three different browsers (Firefox, Chrome, & Opera) and get the same blue screen on all three.
Battle Forces was definitely my favorite, though it hasn't worked for quite a while now.
Lately I've been playing Conquer Club. Two other sites I've played on occasion are Dominating 12 and Major Command.
Does anything work right now? I can't join a solo or a multiplayer game, and the most recent new players all have yet to play a single game.
Interesting follow-up on this problem. I think I've seen two capitals on Egypt every time I've played this map. However, the last time I played it was MY capital which was sitting on territory owned by a computer player. I survived only by moving two tanks into Egypt and capturing it on the first turn.
The empty game mentioned in the subject line gives an error every time I try to load it. Instead it shows me the last game I looked at. This is probably keeping anyone from starting a new Heads-up Standard World game.
I've starting playing games at https://dominating12.com/. I'll definitely come back here if it ever comes back to life since Dominating Twelve is more of a pure Risk style game of play (no extra unit types like tanks and planes).
So what happens when everyone in a game has missed 2 turns in a row? Does the game end and declare a winner? I have at least one game where that will happen if the server isn't reset by this time tomorrow.
The problem seems to have started sometime yesterday. I've tried submitting on one of my games four times now without it being accepted, but none of my games will accept moves.
I just finished a solo game of DHallocks Africa Land War and the map had an interesting glitch. I owned Egypt, but one of the computer players put their capital there right beside mine (2 factories in the same country!). As a result their capital was "captured" during the first turn and they died immediately. It made for an interesting game since I had to scramble south to capture their empty territories before the other computer player grabbed them.
